The demo was reminiscent of early work from The Cars and was under consideration as a single from Play Deep.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS - New Download

We would like to wish everyone a wonderful and safe Holiday Season! Looking back over this past year, we cannot thank you enough for all of your support and enthusiasm. It was our goal to make the fans a part of this recording process and bring you closer to The Outfield experience. The music industry and fans have welcomed us back with great excitement and open arms. For this, we are very humbled and thankful. We hope that you have enjoyed the inside exposure and look forward to an even bigger year in 2011! Kicking off the year, as a lead in to our new studio album, we will release The Very Best of The Outfield that will feature our new track 'California Sun'. OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE: THE VERY BEST OF THE OUTFIELD

The Outfield's strength of song writing, beautiful harmonies and intelligent melodies are on full display with a new compilation by Sony Music Group. 'The Very Best of The Outfield' will be released on January 25, 2011. The track listing manoeuvres effortlessly through the band's multi platinum career. The compilation will include the new track 'California Sun', which was recorded for The Outfield's forthcoming new studio album.
